Fort Wayne's 2026 leaf collection begins Monday, Nov. 2, and runs through Dec. 19 in the city's more than 400 neighborhoods.
Crews work in two rounds. North neighborhoods are first (Nov. 2 to 7 and Nov. 30 to Dec. 5), followed by central (Nov. 9 to 14 and Dec. 7 to 12) and south (Nov. 16 to 21 and Dec. 14 to 19).
Collection continues on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, but not on Nov. 26 or 27 for Thanksgiving.
Rake leaves to the curb or park strip, not into the street, by 7 a.m. on the Monday of your collection week. Leaves do not belong in trash or recycling carts, storm drains or burn piles.
If you would rather pick your timing, place leaves in brown paper biodegradable bags at the curb and call 311. Bags are collected within two business days, but only during leaf season.
The city posts daily updates before 3 p.m. naming the next day's neighborhood, and the Leaf Hotline at 260-427-2302 offers a recorded update. Weather and leaf volume can shift the schedule.
